Contrast

You know you are dying

When you don’t realize the meaning

Of such artifacts’ inning

Scattered around your very house.

Comes the refined ideology

Channelled through the stream of theology

Assuring you a salvation comedy

But it’s an ‘Empty vessel makes a lot of noise.’

Age passes over all of ‘What we are’

It’s when visible the differences of our

In crumbling culture that’s too far

To be learned and sunk into.

While others fare low and high

You perform the tradition called waving ‘Hi’

Contrast is all you say ‘it’s a lie’

Yet you contemplate deep down

Saying it’s a factual reality crown.

In the tapestry of existence, contrasts unfold,

Life’s meaning elusive, in artifacts untold.

Refined ideologies, a stream of theology,

Yet echoes ring, “Empty vessels make noise,” with ferocity.

Aging graces all, unveiling differences clear,

Crumbling cultures, distant yet near.

Traditions waving ‘Hi,’ as realities collide,

Contradictions whispered, deep inside.
